The woman behind this stage name is Julie Barbé. This bundle of energy from Geraardsbergen never lets a day go by without singing.
As a young girl, she was already under the spell of classy ladies such as Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday but also Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, Donna Summer and Beyoncé. After participating in The Voice in 2013, she joined Soul Avenue. After conquering the hearts of her West Flemish bandmates, this East Flemish girl was here to stay!

De vrouw achter deze artiestennaam is Julie Barbé. Deze brok energie uit Geraardsbergen kan het zingen geen dag laten. Als jong veulen was ze al in de ban van classy ladies zoals Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday maar ook van Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan, Donna Summer tot Beyoncé.
Na een deelname in The Voice in 2013 kwam ze bij Soul Avenue terecht. Na het veroveren van de harten van haar West-Vlaamse bandmates, was die Oost-Vlaamse here to stay!

Thomas has been performing  as keyboard player in different bands, among which the Reggaegroup Buadee, the Brazilian singer Tuka Moura and Ed Sullivan XXL.
As composer/producer he has realized several projects with the Kortrijk hiphop band Kasbar and the bossa band Love in Blue. He has been performing with Wim Soutaer, Soulbrothers, Janez Detd, Paul Michiels, Jo Lemaire, Sofie Verbruggen, Vincent Goeminne, Barbara Dex, Chadia Cambie, Karin Clercq, Stéphanie Blanchoud, Chelsy, Charles van Domburg, Soulpetrol, Cores do Mundo, ...

Thomas is als toetsenist actief bij verschillende bands waaronder de Gentse reggaegroep Buadee (ex Skyblasters), Tuka Moura & friends en Ed Sullivan XXL.
Als componist / producer heeft hij in het verleden ook projecten opgestart met eigen werk waaronder de Kortrijkse hiphop band Kasbar en de bossa band Love in Blue. 
Hij heeft reeds gespeeld voor Wim Soutaer, Soulbrothers, Janez Detd, Paul Michiels, Jo Lemaire, Sofie Verbruggen, Vincent Goeminne, Barbara Dex, Chadia Cambie, Karin Clercq, Stéphanie Blanchoud, Chelsy, Charles van Domburg, Soulpetrol, Cores do Mundo, ...

From a very early age, music has been flowing through Seppe’s veins. His love for big voices, such as Whitney Houston, Christina Aguilera and Mariah Carey motivated him to work hard for this passion he had. Because of that, studying at the Conservatory of Ghent was a logical choice. Seppe is mainly active in his own project RED SEBASTIAN and writes a lot for other artists, besides that you can also spot him in Soul Avenue, Belpop Band, The Bis Kids & Ayra.

Sinds kleins af aan stroomde muziek al door Seppe’s aderen. Zijn liefde voor grote stemmen zoals Whitney Houston, Christina Aguilera en Mariah Carey motiveerde hem om hard te werken aan deze passie. Studeren aan het Conservatorium te Gent was daarom een logische keuze. Seppe is vooral actief in zijn eigen project RED SEBASTIAN en schrijft vaak voor anderen, daarnaast vind je hem ook terug bij Soul Avenue, Belpop Band, The Bis Kids & Ayra.

Heleen has been singing since her childhood. It all started with a kids toy radio with microphone. She completed her pop and jazz education at STAP in Roeselare in 2014.
With her powerful vocals Heleen is a singer in the band Soul Avenue since 2019 and furthermore you can hear her singing with the bands Soulvision, Cloud Nine, Soul Collective en F-rent.

Heleen zingt al van kleins af aan. Het begon allemaal met een speelgoedradio waar een microfoon aan vasthing. Ze vervolledigde haar pop-jazz opleiding in STAP te Roeselare in 2014.
Sinds 2019 zingt Heleen de longen uit haar lijf bij Soul Avenue, maar je kan haar ook terugvinden bij Soulvision, Cloud Nine Soul Collective  en F-rent. 

Arne was guitarist in several rock and popbands before the bassguitar became his weapon of choice. 
His fat grooves marked the funk/soul formation Brothers on the Run.
Presently he is active in the Quartier Quartet (jazz/pop) and the hiphopband Jefferson 'n' Chillow. Together with friends musicians he is often performing active in jamsessions in the music centre Track, Cinepalace and Cool Bananas.

Arne Caron speelde als gitarist in verschillende rock en popbands voor hij de basgitaar als weapon of choice nam.
Bij de funk / Soul formatie Brothers on the Run brachten zijn vette grooves de nummers tot ongekende hoogtes. Momenteel is hij actief in het Quartier Kwartet ( jazz / pop) en de hiphopband Jefferson 'n' Chillow.
Samen met bevriende muzikanten is hij vaak aan het werk te zien tijdens jamsessies in muziekcentrum Track, Cinepalace en Cool Bananas.

 
Dave Lantsoght is a guitarist and studies at the Conservatory in Ghent, he’s also active in bands such as: 'Oski', 'Big Adviser' and 'Alrick'. Dave also has experience with radio sessions on Radio 2, Qmusic and MNM and also shared the stage with Laura Tesoro. As a producer he is working on his own Electro/Dance project called: 'BRINES', with which he shared the stage with 'Gestapo knallmuzik' and 'High Hi'.

Dave Lantsoght is gitarist en studeert aan het Conservatorium in Gent, daarnaast is hij actief in bands zoals: ‘Oski’, ‘Big Adviser’ en ‘Alrick’. Met radio sessies zoals Radio 2, Qmusic en MNM heeft hij ook al ervaring en deelde ook podia met onder andere Laura Tesoro. Als producer is hij ook bezig met een eigen Electro/Dance project genaamd: ‘BRINES’, waarmee hij samen met ‘Gestapo knallmuzik’ en ‘High Hi’ het podium deelde.

As a real music lover, Philip can enjoy a wide variety of styles.
Once started as a drummer in a metal band he later studied jazz at “de Kunsthumaniora” and the Jazzstudio in Antwerp en Pop-Jazz at the Conservatory of Ghent. Today you can find Philip in the most diverse projects ranging from Pop to typical Dutch music.
Beside Soul Avenue you could have seen him with Gentlemen, SmashDance, Liliane Saint-Pierre, Gene Thomas and many others.

Als echte muziekliefhebber kan Philip genieten van de meest uiteenlopende stijlen. Ooit begonnnen als drummer in een metal band studeerde hij later jazz aan de Kunsthumaniora en Jazzstudio te Antwerpen en pop-jazz aan het Conservatorium te Gent. Vandaag vind je Philip terug bij de meest diverse projecten die lopen van hedendaagse pop tot het betere nederlandstalige lied.
Naast Soul Avenue kon je hem ook reeds aan het werk zien bij Gentlemen, SmashDance, Liliane Saint-Pierre, Gene Thomas en vele anderen.
